Thinking as if you were your client

Something that has helped me hugely over the years is trying to think as if I was my client.  Even back when I supported Richard Branson for 32 years, I would often think "What would Richard think about this?".

I've found that, by doing this, it helps me to impress my clients and ensure that I am providing the best possible service to them.
Here are some examples of how I think this way:

  • How would I interpret this message if I were the client?
  • Would I be happy with this work if I were the client?
  • What kind of communication and attitude towards my needs would I expect if I was a client?
  • What attributes would I look for in my perfect Virtual Assistant.

I'm always thinking about how I can help them, how I can make them happier and how I can improve their experience and in turn this really helps to build trust and to keep them coming back for my Virtual Assistant services!
