As a freelance Virtual Assistant you should communicate with your client in whatever way works best for both of you. 


For example, if the client prefers email or phone calls - that's absolutely fine. If the client would prefer not to use the Time etc system because they  have another To Do system such as asana or similar that they already use it's absolutely fine to use that in favour of the Time etc system. 


In order to correctly calculate your fees and for your protection and safety you should always use the Time etc platform to record the work that you have done.  In order to avoid disputes with clients we recommend that you record details of the work you have done in the Time etc platform. This will also ensure you are covered by our guarantee on fees - where you are guaranteed to be paid, even if your client doesn't pay.


Finding the clients preferred method of communication is 50% of the battle in ensuring a strong long lasting relationship with a client. If they are easily able to send something through to you to work on then that means more work for you and more work taken off their plate.
